The Indie Scene brings in Riverbeds from Montreal and New Design from Brampton to Ottawa. This will be a PACKED Pancake Party at one of the most delicious spots in the nations capital. Joining the bill is alt/indie rockers Mosely, the punk kids in The Weak Attractions, Pop Punkers Remember The Arcadians and NEW Ottawa Pop Punk band High Regard (first show).
New Design // Making the music they wanted to hear and being too good to be ignored were the main goals for Jeffrey Lee, Joseph Angilletta, Melissa Angilletta and Zachary Cattapan when forming alternative rock act New Design in the suburbs of Brampton, Ontario in 2008. The band’s growing list of influences come from a variety of genres, but the atmosphere and emotion of post-rock and emo-rock served as the common link that brought the members together.
Riverbeds // Riverbeds was formed in late 2010 as a reunion of four like-minded young men, with over 25 years of combined experience in the Quebec independent rock scene. The group aligns introspective post-rock soundscapes with captivating grooves, building up to deafening post-hardcore explosions.
Mosely // Mosely is a high-energy alternative rock band based out of Ottawa, Canada comibing influences from everything from Thrice to Kings of Leon - this band is sure to make you dance and feel things all at the same time.
The Weak Attractions // Rising from the ashes of their previous skate punk outfit, Murder State, Ottawa's Lukas Beneteau-Forgues and Bryan Thomas teamed up with Scott Martin to deliver their own brand of loud, fast, self-deprecating rock and roll music. The Weak Attractions aim to deliver music that is as honest, heartfelt and melodic as it is hard-hitting. The band is currently recording a follow-up to 2015's New Disease EP
Remember The Arcadians // Remember the Arcadians is a Pop Punk/Emo four-piece from the Ottawa area. In a dimly-lit Stittsville basement, they write songs from the heart that are inspired by high school experiences and troubles. The band was first formed in the early spring of 2015. Members Nolan Struss and Kevin Sernoskie recruited Ryan Fitz and Ryan Dempsey to play a few casual covers. Friendships strengthened and the band became a large part of the members' lives and focuses. They have released a single and are planning to release much more in the band's future.
High Regard // Brand new pop punk from the 613.
